In keeping with the venue in front of the glorious Marble Hill House, the Blues season got underway last weekend with a comfortable victory in the opening game of the season.
Beating the usually formidable Crossbats by a significant margin of over 150 runs, we have to thank centurion Steve Metson, ably supported by Deano and Tom J who both made big scores. Guy ate their tea then bowled them out. Ice-pack of the day went to Rookie - "going for a low one in the slips".

Late April and the outfield down in this part of the world looks like it normally does in late July - straw-coloured and rock hard.
