After a varied and potent bowling attach, spearheaded by Sammy Swing-bowling Robinson the blues restricted the oppo to only 74. To make it interesting, with so few runs to chase, predictably the blues had a minor batting collapse. With no individual scoring more than 18, the umpires did their bit for the oppo and we saw 3 LBWs (potentially a club record) to keep the blues batsmen honest. Before jetting off to Tokyo to cover the Olympics Glenn Moore managed to bump himself up the order to the giddy heights of 8, to be in place at the close. With 4 overs to spare Glenn managed to smash the winning runs to bring the victory home. The blues march on. Special mention to Brandon for catching hamish Fyfe out whilst he was fielding for the oppo. Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke. Onwards to next week where the blues book in for bed and breakfast at roehampton playing on both Friday and Sunday, which promises to be an absolute rip-snorter of a cricketing weekend.
